Chapter VI

Posted by Ian Hill on Tuesday, December 30, 2008,

They drug the Russian into their cave and lay him down on their makeshift bed. They gave him some water and let him rest. “Why is a Russian in Japanese water space? It’s illegal.” said Jon. “Maybe he just looks Russian.” said Dexx. “Look at his armor. Belted leather with metal disks covered with horse hide, Russian.” said Jon.  Russians really liked light armor with mobility. The disks allowed parts of their torso to bend. The belts were on the top half of the torso and on the a...

Chapter V

Posted by Ian Hill on Tuesday, December 30, 2008,

When the morning came it was dark and dreary.the trees were plentiful on this step compared to the first one, but it still was pretty low. They didn’t make a fire so they were cold and grumpy. Jon found a patch of Morsain plants. Morsain was founded in Japan, it’s used for curing obscure poisons, such as Drak or Felmere. It also tastes pretty good. Jon gathered a few sprigs and Dexx found a patch of fire thistle. Fire thistle grows in desolate cold places but gives off a sharp sting of he...

Chapter IV

Posted by Ian Hill on Monday, December 29, 2008,

It was a somewhat gray morning. They took in the mountain’s height and realized that it was stepped, like a huge staircase. There was a step about 30 feet above them. They covered all the ground on the coastal shelf and on the first step so they decided to get on the next one. When the boat went down the edge of it scraped the edge of a sharp coral and ripped a little bit of metal off of it. So they gathered that and hammered them into stakes with a rock. They could use the stakes to punctu...

Chapter III

Posted by Ian Hill on Sunday, December 28, 2008,

The next morning, they emerged from their musty limestone shelter. “dad I miss Japan.” Sniffed Dexx. “Me to son. There isn’t much left for us there though. The Hirosaki wouldn’t want us anymore. That boat cost millions.” Said Jon. Dexx stiffly drew his leather cloak tightly around his torso. Jon shivered and rubbed his chest. They both were fit so they ran this time to cover more ground. They found a few more trees. Jon chopped them this time. Dexx spotted some purple plants and d...

Chapter II

Posted by Ian Hill on Sunday, December 28, 2008,

“How? Why? Wha-  hu- what?” cried Dexx. Receiving no answer from his father he turned to see, his father was obviously very shocked. Perhaps even more shocked than Dexx. Speechlessly Jon analyzed the chance of their survival. Quickly he stopped thinking about that for the answer was obvious. They wordlessly went to where the rope ladder was and peered into the deep murky ocean. They saw a distant black shape far far under them. Luckily they both always carried backpacks. Dexx’s containe...

Chapter I

Posted by Ian Hill on Sunday, December 28, 2008,

the silent Japanese vessel was riding along the south pacific ocean. Approximately 874 miles due-south of Yokohama. Jon and Dexx ,father and son, were aboard that lone vessel. They were somewhat explorers if you will. This was their 76th mission. An ominous number for some odd reason. They were nearing a small island. The magma energy level was slowly decreasing, which indicated past volcanic activity. The two men weren’t expecting an island there. It was strange, the sonar radar was readin...
